[Private; unhackable]
This island grows more and more intriguing by the day. What draws the actors to the stage? Why was I called forth? What is this feeling I get talking to some of the other residents of the island? There is something strong about a lot of the residents, but strong is the only thing I can describe it as.
Perhaps I should focus on one question at a time. It seems that the final question may be answered simply by interacting with the others that were brought here, so I believe I will focus on that one first. My newfound employment may make this simpler.

Perhaps it is just my imagination, but it feels as if it is getting substantially warmer outside. Perhaps our sudden plot twist took the route of a deus ex machina and left the stage as quickly as it joined us.
While this island may force entrances on its actors to the confusion of many, I find that it is surprisingly quick to help out those who find themselves answering its role call. I found the apartments with no trouble, and found a room to myself and meals for free. Shortly thereafter, I checked the board to find a roommate as well. James, was it? I look forward to meeting you. Employment was also easy to find, and I found myself taking the job of a health teacher. As classes were cancelled, I look forward to beginning this week.

Now this is a most fascinating situation I've found myself in. I feel like a pawn, out in the middle of the board with no sense of the greater picture. Or perhaps I'm off to the side. It's rather difficult to tell where I stand when all I recall is my name.
Wilhelm. Not even a last name. Intriguing.
I found this journal on my person when I awoke in the forest this morning. I've been walking in one direction the entire time, breaking from this line only to avoid trees or the occasional bear. How strange that some appear to be overly aggressive while others run at the first sight of another being. Perhaps there is a reason for that. And yet this line. I have no recollection of how to find one's way in the forest, but I simply feel that this is the correct path to be on.
...and if my eyes do not deceive, I believe I see signs of civilization through the trees. I suppose it was not a mistake to trust my instincts.
